Kenton Lindenbach of Robella Holsteins,
Balgonie, SK, was presented the 2024
Andrea Crowe Achievement Award during
the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair’s National
Holstein Show in Toronto, ON, on November
8th. Lindenbach is the 11th winner of this
award honouring the late Andrea Crowe of
Hi-Caliber Holsteins (NS) which recognizes
recipients who inspire others through their
positive attitude, determination, integrity,
industry involvement, sportsmanship and
support of youth.
A third-generation Holstein breeder, Kenton
Lindenbach, 35, operates Robella Holsteins
with his wife Alicia, their two daughters,
Rylee and Addison, and his parents, Reg
and Julie. He pours his heart and soul into

Lindenbach is a member of Holstein Canada’s
Show and Judging Committee and previously
served on Holstein Canada’s Young Leaders
Advisory Committee. He was a member of
the provincial committee that organized the
Holstein Canada National Convention when
it was in Saskatchewan in 2022.
An Official Judge, Lindenbach has judged

himself on being able to pass on knowledge or
help a friend get the next show winner ready.
In the spring of 2023, Lindenbach was
diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome
(GBS). Much like Andrea Crowe, he bravely
accepted it and overcame the treatments
with determination and positivity. His resolve
did not go unnoticed as he navigated his
hospital stay, recovery in a rehab facility
and on-going physical therapy, bolstered by
phone calls and visits from friends that always
included a discussion on cows, farming and
his dream to one day walk around a showring
again. Whether it was to judge a show, or lead
a class winner, that goal and mindset was a
large part of his recovery. Kenton and his
family are very appreciative of Dakota Doyle
who came out from Ontario in May 2023 to
help at the farm and has continued to work
at Robella ever since.
Kenton Lindenbach’s love and enthusiasm
for life, farming and the Holstein business
makes him a most deserving Andrea
Crowe Achievement Award winner.
Congratulations Kenton!

When the 2020 National Holstein

A2P2, was gaining in popularity.” With
assistance from Chris Lindhout, Ian was
able to convince the Hamming family to
consign MARTIANN A2P2 ROYAL 1008
to the sale.
“We started selecting for the Convention
Sale around Christmas in 2021,” says
Ian, who took on co-chair duties with
wife Nicole, and friends Kenton and
Alicia Lindenbach. With the goal of
having ‘something for everyone’ in the
sale, Ian came across a heifer on CDN
that piqued his interest. “She’s a real

control over how the animal looks in
pictures and video,” says Ian, “It’s more
work, but I think it makes the sale more
successful.” When the initial video
came in from Kenny McRae at Martiann
Holsteins, Ian says, “I really liked how
the heifer looked – she was part for part
what her genomics said she should be.”
With a successful bid of $10,000,
6-month-old Royal, the #1 polled heifer

but unfortunately, despite only a 25%
chance, he’s not polled.” Her other son
from that flush, BENBIE REGAL-P,
is polled and is owned by Benbie and
