Numero Uno
Dies

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO OUR CUSTOMERS!
Amighetti Numero Uno died on October
10th at 14 years of age. Born in Italy, he was
housed at Semex’s facility in Hungary and
was known as the original “Genomic Giant”
since his release as a Semex Genomax® sire
in December 2011.
With a pedigree that includes Man-o-Man,
Shottle, Boss Iron and Rudolph, his high
ratings for herd life are well deserved. The
Numero Uno daughters were respected for
their high fat milk from soft, well-attached
udders, their fertility and longevity.
Some of his genetic career highlights
included ranking #2 LPI (08/2015), #3 LPI
and #6 Conf (12/2015), #6 LPI (12/2016). By
2017, Numero Uno ranked third as a sire of
sons in the Top 100 LPI list – having 13 sons
averaging 2830 LPI. This group included the
#1 Conformation sire – Unix. Numero Uno
has 10,000 daughters in his proof currently
and retains a respectable 2800 LPI.
